Fox’s Allyson Moyer on ‘Mina Abrams’, ‘Daisy’, Hollywood and more!

Audiences might flock to see Fox for the chance to see dream girl, Monroe Hayden, but they’ll leave their screens as fans of Allyson Moyer’s Mina Abrams, whose hope and courage echo the same wonder that all of us have.

We first meet Mina in the Dream World, where she has unknowingly found herself lost in, and it doesn’t take long before she’s swept up into a mysterious, mind warping adventure that has her (and by extension, all of us) questioning the world around her. I got to speak to Moyer, 20, about the surreal experience of joining the Daisy universe, watching show runner and fellow cast member, Monroe Hayden work alongside Adriana Escandon.

What made you want to audition for the role of Mina Abrams?

Allyson Moyer:
I've loved acting for a long time now and in a way have had something to prove to myself since day one so I've always pushed myself to find different projects and opportunities.

You have a stage background, what's the difference between stage and film?
AM: With stage acting, you have to be able to think on your feet and improvise if you mess up but with film- you have more of a safety net in that aspect. And for me at least, the acting feels much more intimate because there isn't a bunch of people sitting there staring you down, it's just you and a handful of people focusing on their own piece of the project.
Tell us a little about Mina, or at least what you’re allowed to tell us.

AM: Mina reminds me a lot of myself a few years ago. She’s really just trying to find her place in life. In the beginning you see her as a pretty timid person, she’s trying to find herself and viewers will come to realize that means psychologically figure out where she is in the Dream World and mentally figure out where she is and what it means to have a crush on Fox.
It sounds like she’s at a very critical point in her life as we all get to, eventually. Do her actions and decisions remind you of your experiences at that point?
AM: I don’t think her actions remind me of myself but some decisions, yes. It’s more internal fear that she has to be herself yet the subtle stubbornness and determination she has to do so, and I really utilized that in building her character up. I think its good we see in that stage.
I’ve been watching the show and I can’t help but feel like Fox will break her heart. The way your character is set up seems like there’s an impending doom in her future. I mean, SPOILER ALERT, we all know she doesn’t win Fox in the end (unless they change the story) because there’s Daisy but does that ever play as a factor for you?
AM: Honestly, I haven’t read the Daisy series and I only get scripts as we film them- it helps Mina stay believably confused if I truly don’t know what’ll happen, but to me, the whole series has given me a sense of doom. Even when things are beautiful, there’s a darkness lurking around. But I guess we’ll both have to wait and see exactly what happens with Mina and Fox.
Does it make you nervous that the books have a fan base that is very passionate about the characters?

AM: Like you wouldn't believe! I can't begin to explain the unique pressure that it is to have these fans around already loving something that I'm so new to but it drives me in such a positive way.

This is going to sound weird, since you’re very young, but have you ever been the ‘other girl’ like it seems Mina is or will become?
AM: Ok, this is where we get real! Yes, I’ve definitely been second best. I guess I have one of those personalities that isn’t compatible with just anyone and I have yet to find someone willing to step up to the plate and take, faults and all.
Both the show and the books are about loving and accepting who you are and it seems that message consistently inspires young people (women especially). Why do you think young women relate to that more than men?
AM: I feel like the reason women relate to it is because of how other women make us feel. I think men are a lot better at not caring about what society and other people say about them because look at how we [women] were all raised! We have the media telling us, left and right, to be this and that. There are magazine covers with titles about how to please men and what beauty tips men like. It’s this horrible cycle just reinforcing the same crap about women being the ones that need to compete with one another to please men.
I love you for mentioning that! You’re so right. This leads me to Fox. The show is revolved around two women. How do the women in this show treat each other? Is it different from the shows we normally see with women together?
AM: It’s completely different. Mina and Fox aren’t catty and secretly hating each other. Their relationship is fairly innocent, in my opinion, even when certain jokes or innuendos are made. You can rely on Mina to blush and get shy and make the whole thing rather sweet. You’ll see the relationship grow from that innocent attraction to something different and it’s captivating.
How are they innocent? Or, rather, how is their relationship innocent? Being good? Because that sounds a bit boring.
AM: I mean more so that the relationship is in those beginning stages where everything’s simple. As time passes, questions get more serious and that darkness gets closer. Trust me, with Fox, nothing really is innocent.
Ooh! I heard behind the scenes you and Monroe laugh a lot. It seems that Hollywood uses that bitchy and catty platform for women because that’s how women treat each other but from what I hear, you and the other girls get along really well.
AM: We have a great relationship. At first, I felt a little self conscience. It didn’t take long, though, for me to warm up. Now it’s a great time! It’s so nice to work with people I genuinely like and appreciate. It makes the work so much easier and the icky times I had to lay down in the woods in a dress all the more worth it!
What's it like to work with her [Monroe]?

AM: At first she completely intimidated me because she has this really quiet and intense vibe but we get along so well, it's so easy to work with her and Adrianna because we mesh really well.
She writes some of the episodes and has been given the responsibility of forming the show’s vision. How would you describe those things?

AM: Every script I've gotten so far I've loved. She really knows how to bring forward these powerful female roles and I'm so lucky to be a part of that.
How do she and Adriana Escandon work together?
AM: The reason they work so well together and end up with a great product is because they don't always get along. Sometimes I watch them go back and forth because their conflicting visions always end up coexisting beautifully.
I heard the worst part of filming was being on location because you can’t control nature like bugs and heat.

AM: The heat was awful! One day we actually had to stop early because I basically lost the ability to form sentences properly and forgot all my lines. The bugs are more annoying but I will say it was some added entertainment when the bugs came around Monroe because they either scared her or completely shook her out of focus. It was kind of nice to see someone else being attacked by those tiny beasts.

Because we want to know…

Is there anything going on between you and Monroe? The fans want to know! I mean they ship you two together! You’re name is Allyroe.
AM: I know! Unfortunately for the fans that ship us, there isn’t anything going on.
So are you dating anyone?
AM: No way, I’m forever alone! My plan is to get a hedgehog named Sir Henry and then eventually die alone with about 20 of them. That’s like a half joke but I think I have to relearn a few things before I’m ready for a real relationship.
Any dating advice?
AM: Don’t be me?

Can you see yourself getting married?
AM: Far down the road, sure but he’ll have to be super special and also, super patient to be willing to deal with me for the rest of his life!
What kind of wedding dress?
AM: I would die for a custom Cristian Siriano

Would you ever…

Do a stoner movie?
AM: If I liked the story and the character, then sure!
Go on Broadway?
AM: I would give anything for that but I can’t sing or dance well so I’m not sure how much that would work.
Go on a reality dating show?
AM: I don’t think I could. Seems way too fake.
Play a super-hero?
AM: I’m not sure because I’m not the most agile or athletic.
Date another actor?
AM: I would love to date another actor because that would be such a strong connection to have someone.
Marry a ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ winner?
AM: I would love to but only if he made me feel like the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’.

MONROE FRICKIN' HAYDEN!

Meet the dream girl everyone’s been talking about!

Monroe Hayden may only be 27, yet she can add artist, actor, producer, screenwriter, show-runner, composer and business woman to her resume. Yes, she does all that! She started off as a freelance artist and worked with major companies like Disney, 20th Century Fox and Dreamworks. Author, Xavier Haven, wrote the three- part Daisy series back in September 2011 where he hired Hayden to digitally paint for his digital chapter releases before he would sell the story in paperback. In 2013, Hayden and business partner, Brandon Teague bought the rights to Daisy which has resulted into a web series titled Fox.Daisy has been a part of my life for so long, I don’t think she’ll ever leave now,” Hayden says. So what was it that got her the role of Fox?

“Honestly, I don’t think I was ever given the role until after the preview was released. Fans assumed I was Fox and approved. I could have easily been Mina and I think there were meetings where I was considered for that role. I was going to be one of the girls for sure because it would be easier to cast one other actress as opposed to two. When we started, we didn’t have any backers or anything, so we were really thinking of how to spend the least amount of money as possible. So we decided early on to make it a two- hander.”

For those who don’t know what a two- hander is, a two- hander in the film world, is when there are just two characters, [actors], that the audience will follow 90% of the production. The actors really have to know each other well and the direction has to be on point in order to keep the audience from getting bored. Most times, viewers have two characters that are linked together that they enjoy watching but not every viewer likes the same characters which is why an ensemble is important to cover the wide range of audiences. Some get bored with other stories and branches. Fox is definitely taking a risk by focusing their first season on just one story.

With the approval of fans, Monroe Hayden was cast as the lead and Xavier Haven was stoked about it revealing, “Monroe has been a very good friend since I was 19. We went through a lot together and we both supported each other through rocky times. While writing Daisy, I actually had her in mind when creating Fox; her personality and parts of her looks. Fox was very helpful in Daisy’s transition from child to adult. Fox helped her with accepting who she really was and what she wanted to do with her life. Monroe helped me with that. So the fact that she got the role comes full circle for me, like she inspired Fox and now she is Fox. It’s very special.”

But don’t expect Fox to be as tender as she was in the books. Hayden’s performance as Fox is a little dark. “We didn’t want her to be exactly the same. Since it’s a prequel, we wanted to show a different side to her. Her heart is the same, her convictions are the same and what drives her is the same but there are aspects to her personality that are different and that may make you question her character. In the beginning she appears fine and as close as they could get me to look like the character in the books but as the season progresses, her appearance and behavior become more feral. There has to be a darker side to being her, a dark side to the burden of keeping all those secrets and being trapped in other people’s dreams without ever dreaming herself. She has to overcome something before she helps Daisy. She has to learn a little more about life and how it works and she has to make a sacrifice in order to be happy. She has to risk losing something to have her,” Hayden says.

So don’t expect this show to be a typical estrogen- driven show! “Well, there’ll be a little estrogen. I mean they are both women and we get emotional at times,” Hayden jokes. “But Fox is tough. Young girls can look at her and think, ‘I can be the one in control. I can be tough too. I can be strong! I can save the day! Some dude doesn’t have to be. I don’t even need a guy,’.” In a world where men take lead roles in genres such as these, Fox takes a big leap but does the obvious girl on girl romance have anything to do with it? “Of course it does. In Hollywood, men and women play very particular roles to one another. So when you take the guy out and put another woman in, it changes things a bit. Men and women aren’t that different in the game of love and Fox demonstrates that well but men and women are looked at very differently. Not to mention, same-sex relationships are still not at the equal level as straight ones. Gay and lesbian characters still aren't main characters but part of the ensemble. Making them main characters changes things.”

Between Fox and Mina, the women will be the ones who overcome lots of tribulations, obviously, and we can also expect action scenes as well. “Yes there will be actions scenes. Fox and Xander do a lot of that.” Making a woman fight a man is also starting a rise in Hollywood, making Fox part of that 'Girl Power' movement. "It's awesome, in my opinion, because women have been dumbed down or bitchified in Hollywood for so long. Strong, tough female-driven films and shows don't do well with audiences, like it's not believable but it's changing. It shows viewers that women may be the physical 'weaker' sex but they don't go down without a fight and a guy can definitely get an injury and sometimes... the girl wins." Speaking of injuries, while filming one of those action scenes, Hayden bruised her hand badly to the point she had to have it wrapped and wear a splint for her ring finger. “It wasn’t that bad and when you see the fight scene you’re going to be like, ‘What? How’d you hurt your hand doing that?’”

Life has definitely changed for Ms. Hayden since Daisy entered her life. Not many people can say they had a hand injury while filming a fight scene for a series they’re in. Not many people can say they have fans who watch their every move or ship them with various actors. Not many people can say they actually created a series and run it. Not many people can say they’re a celebrity. “I don’t know about that,” Hayden says. “I don’t think I’m a celebrity.” Well, what else would you call it then?  “I’m just a girl who wants to do creative things, I guess. Anything but a celebrity.”

We’ll take that and we’re so excited to see what she has in store for us as the seductive, yet dark Fox. “I’m very nervous about it, to be honest. There are so many things that come with creating something and releasing it to the world to judge. A lot of people tell me, ‘Don’t worry. It’ll be great,’ and I’m like, ‘Yo! What if it’s not good? What if I make a fool of myself?’ It’s the jitters that come with the territory but I’m definitely nervous. A lot of work has been put into this and I hope it shows. I hope we don’t look sloppy or unprofessional.” Don’t worry Monroe, it’ll be great.

BECAUSE WE REALLY WANT TO KNOW...

Fox Blog: Are you dating anyone?
Monroe Hayden: No.

What’s your biggest flaw?
Sometimes I can get so caught up in the things I have to do that I forget to be a bit more thoughtful. So, I suppose I can be a bit self-centered.

Why?
I’m having a hard time balancing my responsibilities and ‘bed-side manner’. I focus on what I need to get done and forget everything else. I’m working on it, though.

What’s the best thing about you?
I don’t know… I’m pretty creative, I guess. I’m great at surprising people. Um, I think I get major points for gift giving ideas and stuff.

Example?
I once made someone scavenger hunt all over the city for Valentine’s. I couldn’t get reservations at the place we wanted to go so I tried to make up for it. We actually had a good time and went to many places instead of one.

Major points! Have you ever had a Valentine you weren’t dating?
Um, yeah actually I have. A really good friend of mine was my Valentine for two years, I think. We were both single and loved to eat desserts, so we were perfect “dates” at the time. It was more of a ‘Gal-entine’s’ day, to be honest.

Would it be weird if I asked if that was that the same person you made scavenger hunt?
Um no and no. I’d have embarrassed myself! (Laughs) That would be too awkward to do with a friend.

Why?
Um, it was a romantic scavenger hunt.

Gotcha! Are you a romantic?
I can get pretty romantic but I’m not very open in the beginning, though. I’m pretty shy, even if I wanted to do something- anything like hold your hand or kiss you- I stop myself and pull back. It’s a habit. I need time to get comfortable and adapt and a lot of people don’t like that nor have time for it, which is understanding but once I’m at that comfortable stage, you better be ready because I can bring it! Just have to wait it out a while.

Lots of people are willing to wait it out for you.
It’s so weird that you’d say that because recently someone close to me told me the opposite.

He’s regretting it.
(Laughs) Not sure about that.

He is. Trust me. So… they’ll have to make the first move?
Oh! Depends. I’m trying- not to be so shy, so I’ll push myself to make the first move at times.

Why are you shy?
I don’t know.

You shouldn’t have any problem with anything, looking the way you do.
I don’t know about that.

There’s a line of guys just hoping you’d pick them! No need to be shy.
Hmmm, where is this line?

Ok, we’ll get back to this later. What’s the secret? What do women want?
Respect. You don’t have to shower her with gifts, or compliments or promises, just respect her at all times. Don’t respect her sometimes- all the time! If you get mad or frustrated or confused, don’t be disrespectful to her. Even if you feel disrespected, don’t do that because once you do, you’ll never get her back. You wouldn’t want someone disrespecting you for whatever reason, so don’t do it to her.

What’s the best thing you can do for a woman [other than respect her]?
Make her laugh. Be silly- especially when she’s sad. You can’t take someone else’s sadness away but making them laugh can really help… a lot.

That is so true. What’s the worst thing?
Make her feel worthless.

That’s true too. What’s the most romantic gift someone can give you?
A book. To me, there’s something very romantic about someone I like or love, giving me a book to read. It sort of turns me on, actually.

Noted. What’s the worst gift?
A stuffed toy.

Newbie mistake to give stuffed toys! Favorite flower?
Roses. Cliché, I know.

Not to me. Why roses?
My mom’s name is Rose and my favorite film is Beauty and the Beast, which obviously involves a rose.

You’re adorable, you know that?
I don’t know about that.

Favorite chocolate?
Dark.

Favorite love song?
Can a woman really just choose one?

Ok, ok. Favorite love song to slow dance to?
“The Way You Look Tonight” performed by Rod Stewart

Oh! That is so perfect!
Isn’t it?!

Celebrity crush?
Oh, I have a few.

Name them!
Chris Hemsworth, Matt Bomer, Chiwetel Ejiofor- to name a few.

Any girl crushes?
(Laughs) Tons of women! (Laughs) They’re all crush worthy! Um, Natalie Portman is pretty hot. Adriana Lima, Katy Perry… any of the Pretty Little Liars and of course Allyson Moyer. Duh!

How can someone win your heart?
I don’t know! Um, I’m attracted to kindness. I like people who are kind. So be kind to me if you want me, especially if I make you mad. That’s how you can tell if they’re genuinely kind or just pretending. If they can still be kind when they’re mad at you- you have someone you should keep in your life because being kind can be very hard at times. It’s ok to be angry but it’s never ok to be cruel.

That is a very good point! So let’s get back to that other topic, why are you shy? Are you scared of something?
Wow! You really are a journalist, aren’t you?

I try to get to the bottom of things… and you’re stalling.
Well, I guess when it comes to the core of things, yes. I suppose I am scared. I think most people are, though.

Why are you scared? You’re beautiful! You can get anyone you wanted!
I suppose I'm scared of feeling low, being rejected- you know the normal things most people feel. And I wasn't always beautiful.

What do you mean?
I grew up a hardcore tom boy. I wore boy clothes and everything and because of that I was bullied a lot. Lots of kids would tease me. Yeah, they were kids and as children we learn things about life and what it means to be… well, mean but their words still stick with me today. I’m not trying to make you feel bad or anything, it was what it was and it happened. So, hearing people like you throw compliments my way 20 years later is very surprising and I don’t know how to process it. We all have issues, whether we’re too confident or not confident enough and I’ve never met anyone who was directly in the middle. We all have issues with how we look and appear to other people and that affects how we approach the people we’re attracted to as a result. So, yeah. I’m shy. I wasn’t the prettiest girl in school. No one really said, “Oh her? Yeah she’s hot!” I was too scrawny. People would call me anorexic. I was too boyish. People would ask me why I wouldn’t be more girly. I only had one boyfriend in high school but no one else asked me out. I had to ask my prom date to prom! (Laughs) It was bad.

They had no idea you’d be a bombshell and you’re right, they were kids. Maybe they grew up a little?
Maybe. I’m sure some of them have.

Do you feel beautiful?
Sometimes. That’s as honest as I can get. There are days when I feel, “Yeah girl! Get it!” And others where I’m like, “Ugh. This is as good as it’s going to get.”

How about on the inside?
I have things to work on, as does any human being, but I try to be good and that makes me feel that eventually I’ll feel confident enough to say, “I’m fucking beautiful dammit!” (Laughs)

You don’t feel that way right now?
Not yet but I will. Believe me.

I do. And you are. Believe me.

5 Things You Didn't Know About 'Fox' the Series!

With the premiere approaching, more and more information and photos are about to be released. Here's five things you didn't know about the show (with screencaps and in no particular order)!

The Show is Shot in San Diego, CA.

Real World scenes are shot in Coronado while Dream World sequences are shot in national parks all over San Diego County. If you take a trip to "America's Finest City", make a day out of it and visit the most popular location spot in Mission Trails Regional Park (as seen above).

Nothing Replaces the Color Black

The show's primary wardrobe color revolves the color black. Each character, in every scene, incorporates the color with each of their styles. Fans are new to a darker version of Fox but familiar with Mina's dark side from the books. This is done on purpose to reflect a much darker tone to the characters and their personal struggles and possible dark fates. While a lot of the colors in the Dream World are elaborated to display the beauty of a fantasy, the dark wardrobe counters it, reminding both Mina and the audience that reality can hit any waking moment.

The Good. The Evil. And the in between.

Fox drives the story with her secrets. Her inner conflicts cause her to stand firmly between the light and the dark (so it seems) but being in the middle has its price. Producers wanted the villain to be Fox's match. Although Fox may struggle, she is strong and hard to take down. Xander is more experienced in the art of evil and knows how to manipulate people's minds. Mina is the weaker of the three, making her decision to stand against the forces of evil that much more important and meaningful but evil comes in different forms and it's a master of trickery. Be careful who you trust!

The Story is Inspired by Fairytales

Even in the upcoming Pilot, a fairytale nod was thrown in there. The idea of the box, which has yet to be revealed, was inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s The Tinderbox about a soldier who comes across a box that offers him three magical dogs to do his bidding. Will there be magical dogs in Fox? Highly doubt it but the commentary of the tale according to multiple sources touches a similar core meaning to the series:

“It celebrates youth over age and it has the energy and hope and satisfaction of a traditional folk tale whose young hero overcomes adversity and ends a contented, successful adult."

Another hidden theme, as obvious as it may seem, is Sleeping Beauty and Snow White by Brothers Grimm. Since this all takes place in a dream world, the idea of the heroine sleeping or being unconscious during this adventure takes form in Mina with Fox replacing the handsome prince who must wake her from her slumber. An apple, also plays an important part to the story.
But Fox has a dark side as we all have come to realize through teaser posters and other than her name, there is also something animalistic about her. A young, intelligent beauty falls in love with a dark yet gentle soul- sound familiar? We did mention she shares a name with an animal, right?  The series is also influenced by Beauty and the Beast with Mina Abrams taming Fox’s dark side. It happens to also be Monroe Hayden’s favorite.

Mina is also naive and curious, not to mention passionate enough to take her love with her into dream land so she can win the heart of the one she loves. In Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid, the mermaid’s passionate love for her human causes her to give up her own voice to venture into the world above for a chance to win her prince. Something tells us, Mina will be making a sacrifice somewhere in the series. All heroines do.
And last but not least, Neverland was a place most children dreamt of. It was a place where you never had to grow up yet spending time there ironically made you psychologically grow up faster. The Dream World replaces Neverland and Fox takes Peter Pan’s place while Mina takes a walk in Wendy’s night slip (figuratively speaking).

 Not a Typical Girl Show

This is a female driven show that isn’t about a woman’s fascination with fashion or her appalling addiction to men who treat her like crap. It isn’t about two women fighting over the same guy or plotting their revenge on the guys who broke their hearts or causing problems with other female characters by spreading secrets. It firmly separates itself from that stereotype of how women are portrayed in the media; you’re either the dumb girl who is desperate for a man- a relationship, or you’re the bitch who got dumped and wants pay back.  None of that is in Fox and a lot of it has to do with the fact that the characters are both women who are essentially attracted to one another which offers a different route in avoiding those stigmas that Hollywood created.

They’re not dating but there is something there yet at the same time there are so many layers to Fox and Mina’s relationship that it’s just so much more complicated than a love story. These two have a friendship that is being tested. And one of them is hiding who they are- which adds another layer of complications. And the other one is unwilling to let go of her fantasy of the other. The show portrays these women as human beings with real issues. Yeah, the issues are fairly juvenile because the characters are young but it’s a theme that resonates throughout everyone no matter what age you are or what gender you are. Everyone finds themselves developing feelings for someone and then creating this fantasy in their head of what it would be like to be with them. It’s one of the many things that keep us young at heart and the show has broken that label of a typical ‘girl show’. Maybe it has to do with that extra interest of it being a girl on girl thing? You decide!

Case of the X!

Cat's out of the bag with this little tid bit of news. The mystery man known as Alexander Veitch a.k.a. Xander (Michael Lozano), the same man who plays an important role in Fox, Mina and Daisy's futures, is none other than Fox's ex- boyfriend. Although the first season is focused mainly on Mina and Fox's relationship, perhaps Mina will have to compete for Fox's affections?  So with a new character added in the Daisy universe, the question still stirs: Why is Alexander Veitch so important?

Creators revealed in 2014, that the show is darker than the books and according to Daisy author and Fox Executive Producer, Xavier Haven says,
“This show will change the way you read the books. It’s got so many twists and turns that I was even impressed with Monroe [Hayden] and Adriana [Escandon]’s approach to the series. It will answer questions and will make you ask different ones. The whole thing is very clever, I must admit. Much more clever than my stuff. And it's darker in a lot of ways. It's not all sunshine and flowers. Xander brings out that darkness. But with that being said, when it comes to the girl's, Mina’s experience in the Dream World is far different from Daisy’s and Xander is one of the reasons but I think fans will be happy with the Daisy and Fox romance build up which Xander helps. It’s brilliant, in my opinion. Especially for short episodes."

There you go Foxers! And be sure to keep us bookmarked because more excited news and secrets are about to be revealed!

No tricks! Just treats! (A Fox update for your Halloween virtual goodie bag.)

With Halloween just around the corner, A&S Productions decided that now is the time to break their silence regarding their show after a hiatus. In case you have no idea what we're talking about- the company released the show's first teaser!

And as promised, more treats for you ghoulish dreamers!

Viewers will get a full length season that includes 13 episodes and a mid-season finale which will be shown on Vimeo from this point on. Episode 1, which has been renamed as the Pilot, has been re-shot and edited, frame by frame. Due to the nature and material of the first season, a second season script has already been written but a final decision will not be made until later on following an official statement regarding the show's future. Fans should expect a cast of three main characters this season. A premiere date has not been issued.

Monroe Hayden is currently still signed on to play Fox and if a second season should be made, she's attached to the role. Michael Lozano is signed to play a new character introduced as Alexander Veitch. Alexander plays an important role in the future of the three girls: Fox, Mina and Daisy, herself.

The teaser features a brief glimpse of the antagonist in the show's first season. Fans have discovered beautiful elements of the Dream World from Daisy but have yet to explore the other aspects of the dimension which includes The Nightmare Realms. After all, what is a dream if you don't get a nightmare every once in a while? Xavier Haven originally wished to include a sort of nightmare-ish atmosphere in the books but felt that it would steal focus from Daisy's realities. Those aspects he wished to include will finally make their appearance for the show's first season as Mina's story is a lot darker- similar but darker.

You asked, so they wrote it in! Daisy is scheduled to make an appearance alongside her pals Bethany and Priscilla.

Happy Halloween Foxers!
